depression

Depression to me is somethings that no one can escape from. Everyone will have it at least once in their life. everyone also see depression a different way. I see depression as a tall figure in a black cloak. It thas these arms that are like claws. It is like the figure in the Scrooge play. It just reaches out and grabs my heart and refuses to let go. At times it seems to have grabbed ahold my throat and feels like it is choking me and many more. There are times that it seems to never let go and others where it will not appear for months at a time. I know that it sounds kinda unusual, but that is how I see depression. I think depression is not just a heridty gene that can be passed down to chldren. Anyone can get it no matter what genes they have. People can express their depression in many ways. people write out in a dairy about how they feel,and others do athletic. Some poeple may go to the extreme and start to cut themselves, do drugs, or starve themselves. I see poeple doing all of these things in a everday basis. The depression could come and go within a week, but for others it could last for years. Hopefully those poeple will get help if it does last for years. that is how i see depression. It is a terrible thing that can sparke at either random moments or after a terrible event has happened. It takes time to heal and if anyone knows someone like this then they need to get them help or stay by their side.
